The King's Academy Knights won the last time they faced the Tyler Classical Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. King's Academy took down Tyler Classical Academy 55-38.
Evan Hellwig was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Everett Hollis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
King's Academy's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16. As for Tyler Classical Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
King's Academy will challenge Marshall Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tyler Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
