Rosemont (Sacramento, Calif.) defeated
McClatchy (Sacramento, Calif.) 42-22 on the strength of
Buddy Enriquez, who tossed six touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Aidan Flynn, the Lions went into halftime with a 16-6 lead. The Wolverine took the lead to win the game on a touchdown pass by Enriquez to
DeShawn Allen in the third quarter.
Enriquez and Allen were an excellent passing duo during the game. Allen caught three touchdowns and Enriquez threw six. Allen has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Enriquez has thrown 13.
When the two teams played each other last season, Rosemont came away with a 30-14 victory.
The loss comes after McClatchy defeated Kennedy 44-20 last week. The loss snapped McClatchy's two-game winning streak.
McClatchy (2-4) goes up against Burbank in a Metropolitan game matchup next week, while Rosemont (6-0) locks horns with Florin also in a Metropolitan game.
