Edison is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Memorial a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Edison Eagles will take on the Memorial Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Edison took a serious blow against Coweta, falling 59-24. While losing is never fun, Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while Coweta is ranked 56th).
Meanwhile, Memorial was the victim of a tough 56-30 defeat at the hands of Sapulpa on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Memorial has scored all season.
Edison has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Edison was taken down by Memorial 85-10 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Memorial's Mataya Hall, who scored 45 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Now that Edison knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
