Wells is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Round Mountain. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Leopards have posted since March 2, 2024.

Khloe DelRio made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. DelRio was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Otto, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Avery Safford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Pahranagat Valley came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Leopards by a score of 12-9. 12 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Rylee Lewis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shada Spencer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Wells has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Pahranagat Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 23-8.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wells has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .590. However, it's not like Pahranagat Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .577. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
