The Germantown Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 25 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 46-21 margin over Clinton. Winning may never get old, but Germantown sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Germantown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Rouser out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Rouser's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Jordan, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clinton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Germantown's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.
Germantown is on the road again on Thursday and play against Olive Branch at 4:00 p.m. on December 21, 2023. Olive Branch will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
