NorthWood hasn't had much luck against Northridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. NorthWood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
NorthWood came out on top against Concord on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run seventh inning. The Panthers took their match against the Minutemen 11-7.
Ana Beachy was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, NorthWood got a massive performance out of Ella Haseley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave Haseley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
NorthWood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Northridge got the win against Goshen on Wednesday by a conclusive 8-1. Considering the Raiders have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Addi Knisley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Mia Branam was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Willow Staley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
NorthWood pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Northridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
NorthWood might still be hurting after the 18-7 loss they got from Northridge in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
