Lamar has gone a perfect 3-0 against Purdy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will square off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Lamar will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Lamar is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Osceola with a sharp 18-3 victory on Wednesday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Lexy Stephen and Kelby Wolf were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stephen tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wolf struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. At the plate, Stephen got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Wolf got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Peyton Eddie was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Calli Harris, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Lamar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while Purdy put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Wheaton. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Eagles have beaten the Bulldogs the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.
Purdy's record is now 9-7. As for Lamar, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Lamar skirted past Purdy 10-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
