Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Orangeburg Christian Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Sumter Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Orangeburg Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Sumter Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Northside Christian School, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Sumter Christian has scored all season.
Aj Danzy was his usual excellent self, scoring 26 points. The contest was Danzy's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quayshawn While, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Orangeburg Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Union Christian Day.
Sumter Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Orangeburg Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Sumter Christian came up short against Orangeburg Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2021, falling 85-78. Can Sumter Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
