The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders will venture away from home to take on the Camp Hill Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Lancaster Catholic's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Lancaster Mennonite.

Gabe Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lancaster Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lancaster Catholic let Bryer Valenzo and Parker LaFerriere run wild. Valenzo went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while LaFerriere went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Zuber, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Lancaster Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camp Hill). Everything went their way against Steelton-Highspire on Thursday as they made off with a 29-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
The team relied heavily on Jonathan Drawbaugh, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Griffin Gassner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Camp Hill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster Catholic, their record now sits at 4-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lancaster Catholic has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Camp Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lancaster Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Camp Hill in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
