After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monroe, the Terrell County Greenwave were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Quitman County 77-17 at home. With that win, Terrell County brought their scoring average up to 55 points per game.
Terrell County was led to victory by Tadreuna Rogers and Jada Rushing. Rogers scored 16 points, while Rushing scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Harvey, who scored 10 points.
The win got Terrell County back to even at 1-1. As for Quitman County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terrell County will take on Miller County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Miller County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Quitman County, they will head out on the road to face off against Seminole County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Seminole County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
