The St. Francis Christian Patriots were the 46-35 winner over the First Baptist Crusaders when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. St. Francis Christian was beaten by First Baptist 81-50 on Monday.
First Baptist had a senior duo take command as Owen Nelson scored 12 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds and Levi Borner scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Anderson , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Francis Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for First Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
St. Francis Christian will head out on the road to face off against Prior Lake Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
