Surry Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Presley Smith out in front who scored 9 points along with 5 steals. Layla Wall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
West Stokes' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Surry Central, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
West Stokes lost to Surry Central at home by a decisive 47-28 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for West Stokes, Ashley Santamaria (who scored 11 points along with 9 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
