Montville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Weston Trojans an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Montville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Weston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Montville will square off against St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 3.2, the Cadets 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Weston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
