Fisher Catholic has gone 9-1 against Fairfield Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Irish will look to defend their home field against the Knights at 5:15 p.m. Fisher Catholic will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Monday, Fisher Catholic needed a bit of extra time to put away Berne Union. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Rockets.
Lauren Kersell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over eight innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Fisher Catholic let Aubrey Beauseau and Harper Kline run wild. Beauseau went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kline went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Beauseau a new career-high. Ava Brue was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Fisher Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Fairfield Christian Academy can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Harvest Prep 29-16. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Fisher Catholic's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-7.
