Softball Recap: Nipomo Finds Home Field Redemption Against Coastal Christian

There's no place like home for Nipomo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Coastal Christian Conquerors a 12-0 shutout on Monday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Vivianne Goss was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sophie Quaresma, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Nipomo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Coastal Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nipomo will head out to face off against Morro Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Coastal Christian, they will face off against Coast Union at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
