Even though the Arvada West Wildcats scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, the Legacy Lightning still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Legacy made off with a 67-66 victory over Arvada West. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Legacy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Domsch, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Harpring, who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
Arvada West's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Hadzic, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. Jordan Stremel was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Legacy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Arvada West, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Legacy will take on Cherry Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arvada West, they will square off against Green Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
