It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Evangel Christian Academy Lions can now relate to. Their rough 44-20 loss to Cornerstone Christian on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Evangel Christian Academy was down 36-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Zeke Adams had an outrageously good game for Cornerstone Christian as he rushed for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. Noah Schober also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards.
Evangel Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Evangel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cornerstone Christian will take on Springwood at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Springwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
