The New Covenant Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They lost to School of the Ozarks on the road by a decisive 53-37 margin. That's two games in a row now that New Covenant Academy has lost by exactly 16 points.
It was another big night for Lily Todd, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds for School of the Ozarks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Todd has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Holland Houston, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
New Covenant Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for School of the Ozarks, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Covenant Academy will challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for School of the Ozarks, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
