It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Loyalton Grizzlies ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They snuck past Quincy with a 61-55 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Aidan Shelby continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Loyalton's points. Gus Petterson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Loyalton is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Quincy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-18.
Loyalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Quincy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-52 defeat vs. Portola on the 9th.
