Carroll is 2-8 against Archbishop McNicholas since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Carroll Patriots' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Archbishop McNicholas took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Carroll, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Carroll was able to grind out a solid victory over Waynesville, taking the game 50-38.
Meanwhile, Archbishop McNicholas unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 62-34 loss at the hands of Archbishop Alter. Archbishop McNicholas has struggled against Archbishop Alter recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Archbishop McNicholas saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Andrew Ehlers, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jack Tucker, who scored nine points.
Carroll now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Carroll came up short against Archbishop McNicholas in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 50-43. Can Carroll avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
