The University Christian Barracudas lost against the Hickory Christian Academy Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. University Christian took a 37-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. University Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hickory Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia McGrath, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. McGrath hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Mary alice Bowman, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
University Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-10 record this season.
University Christian will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville Christian and the Barracudas are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blues at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
