The Temecula Prep Patriots will take on the California Lutheran C-Hawks at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Temecula Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Desert Christian Academy and fell 3-2.
Temecula Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 18-25, 24-26, 25-17, 15-7.
Meanwhile, California Lutheran got the win against Sherman Indian on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the C-Hawks.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: California Lutheran took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-9.
Temecula Prep better keep an eye on Neleh Boehm. She was instrumental in California Lutheran's win, getting seven assists and four aces. That's the most aces Boehm has posted since back in October of 2024.
California Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matchups.
California Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Temecula Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 23-8.
Temecula Prep was able to grind out a solid win over California Lutheran when the teams last played back in August, winning 2-0. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the C-Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
