Pontiac has gone a perfect 10-0 against Prairie Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Indians will square off against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pontiac has four straight victories, Prairie Central has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Five must be Pontiac's lucky number: they beat Limestone with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Indians walked away with a 5-1 win over the Rockets.
Natalie Zimmerman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tessa Collins was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. India Mattingly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Prairie Central suffered their closest defeat since April 15th on Friday. They fell just short of Reed-Custer by a score of 5-3.
Jules Woodrey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. Kyah Creek also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Pontiac pushed their record up to 20-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Prairie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 14-18.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pontiac hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Prairie Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pontiac beat Prairie Central 5-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
