The South Elgin Storm had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Streamwood 64-11 at home. The result was nothing new for South Elgin, who have now won seven matches by 28 points or more so far this season.
Leading South Elgin to victory were Ishmael George and Stewart Leon Williams. George picked up 187 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while Leon Williams threw for 256 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. George's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards. Lucas Noworol was another key contributor, gaining 79 total yards and two touchdowns.
South Elgin's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Streamwood, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
South Elgin will be playing at home against L at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. L will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Streamwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
