Clay came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.4 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged Middleburg out 2-1.
Clay's win bumped their record up to 9-3-3. As for Middleburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-3.
Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Middleburg also has no future games currently scheduled.
