Division II-AA recap October 29, 2013
Christian Brothers was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 10th to seventh in Division II-AA. The Purple Wave beat Carver 47-16 earlier in the week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Ensworth beat Baylor 16-9. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Andrew Cox was the best wideout in the league this week as Father Ryan defeated McCallie. Cox tallied 4 receptions for 107 yards. Aaron McLeod helped Father Ryan's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Devin Perry. The Memphis University star has 32 catches for 558 yards.
The marquee game in Division II-AA this week will be the clash between the Red Raiders and the Fightin' Irish. Baylor enters the contest ranked ninth in the state, while Father Ryan ranks 14th.
D'Andre Ferby of the Ensworth is just 11 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 134 carries Ferby has accumulated 989 yard this year.
Christian Brothers took down the Cobras 47-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Breck Ruddick threw for 60 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 26 yards during the win.
