The Churchill County Greenwave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reed Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Churchill County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Last Saturday, Churchill County beat North Valleys 54-45.
Churchill County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Paul, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Trevor Hyde was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 14 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Reed ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Elko with a 76-72 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Reed's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Peterson, who scored 29 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least 25% of Reed's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Williams, who scored 28 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Their wins bumped Churchill County to 4-2 and North Valleys to 3-1.
