School Without Walls is 0-8 against Roosevelt since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The School Without Walls Penguins will head out on the road to take on the Roosevelt Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (School Without Walls is ranked 18th, while Roosevelt is ranked ninth).
School Without Walls pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkside. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (59), School Without Walls still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Ballou by a score of 69-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Hudgens, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamall Price, Jr., who scored 12 points along with six steals.
School Without Walls' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
School Without Walls suffered a grim 73-50 defeat to Roosevelt when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point School Without Walls was down 38-18.
