Wake Christian Academy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Trinity Academy Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Wake Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Wake Christian Academy slipped by Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill 43-42. The victory was just what Wake Christian Academy needed coming off of a 53-24 loss in their prior contest.
Wake Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Crissman out in front who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. The game was Crissman's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sallie grace Quinn, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Trinity Academy was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Thales Academy Rolesville 58-20 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trinity Academy.
The losses dropped Wake Christian Academy to 4-2 and Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill to 0-4.
Wake Christian Academy came up short against Trinity Academy in their previous meeting back in January, falling 26-15. Can Wake Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
