Softball Recap: Spring Hill Takes Down Ranked Saint Thomas Aquinas

Spring Hill faced Saint Thomas Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Broncos put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Spring Hill got a massive performance out of Olivia Fraley, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Fraley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Spring Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .475. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in three consecutive games.

Spring Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Saint Thomas Aquinas fell to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Spring Hill will take on Paola at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they will square off against Blue Valley Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
