The Johnsonville Flashes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Carvers Bay on the road and fell 59-10. Johnsonville has struggled against Carvers Bay recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Carvers Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jerchel Geathers-Washington out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Geathers-Washington is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was D'Essence Graham, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Johnsonville's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Carvers Bay, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.
Johnsonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carvers Bay, they will head out on the road to challenge East Clarendon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carvers Bay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
