It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Donahue Catholic had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They skirted past Marco Island Academy 2-1. The result kept Donahue Catholic happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 10th.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Matthew Misek and
Aidan Minter, who scored.
Donahue Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5-4 record this season. As for Marco Island Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2.
Donahue Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Mason Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Marco Island Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
