With a playoff game on the line, the Benjamin Buccaneers rose to the challenge on Monday. They took down the ThunderWolves 52-34. That 18 point margin sets a new team best for Benjamin this season.
Ja?nyia Donaldson went supernova for Benjamin, scoring 22 points. Donaldson is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Schwab, who scored ten points.
Benjamin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-13 record this season. As for Oxbridge Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12.
Benjamin's road trip will continue as they head out to face King's Academy on February 7th. King's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Benjamin in Florida (King's Academy is ranked 39th, while Benjamin is ranked 411th). Oxbridge Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
