The Ocracoke Dolphins are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Calvert Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Ocracoke knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Calvert likes a good challenge.
Even though Perquimans scored an imposing 56 points last Friday, Ocracoke still came out on top. Ocracoke strolled past Perquimans with points to spare, taking the game 74-56.
Meanwhile, Calvert's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-25 loss at the hands of McDonough. While losing is never fun, Calvert can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while McDonough is ranked 112th).
Ocracoke's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Calvert, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
