If the Weequahic Indians were riding high off their 66-39 takedown of Varsity Opponent on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Weequahic was beaten by Linden 80-40 on Saturday.
Riyahd Mcdonald and Shaun Hamilton certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Mcdonald dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Hamilton scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Weequahic's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Linden, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weequahic will square off against Science Park at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Linden, they will head out on the road to face off against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
