Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday R.J. Franco stepped things up a notch to give Calvary Baptist the 'W'. Franco struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Franco and Calvary Baptist will face off against The Webb Schools at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Thanks in part to Franco's efforts, the Cougars will roll in on a seven-game winning streak.
