After two games on the road, Kearney Catholic is heading back home. They will take on the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Kearney Catholic came up short against Scotus and fell 38-31. Kearney Catholic has struggled against Scotus recently, as their game on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Rylie O'Hare, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tessa Colling, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Ashland-Greenwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Malcolm.
Kearney Catholic's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Ashland-Greenwood, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
