The Pinole Valley Spartans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hercules Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Pinole Valley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 22-7 loss to Bethel.
Maddox Wu put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Meanwhile, Hercules' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 38-0 loss at the hands of Salesian College Preparatory. While losing is never fun, Hercules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 972nd, while Salesian College Preparatory is ranked 360th).
Pinole Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hercules, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Pinole Valley skirted past Hercules 2-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Does Pinole Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hercules turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
