The Bryan Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Midway Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
After soaring to four goals the game before, Bryan were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Weiss.
Meanwhile, Midway had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 1.8 goals), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Copperas Cove as Midway made off with a 7-0 win. Midway's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.
Bryan's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5-4. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Bryan beat Midway 2-0 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bryan since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
