Softball Recap: Metamora's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Metamora came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Rock Island Rocks. Considering the Redbirds have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Metamora's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Rock Island, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
