The Roosevelt Roughriders kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 69-54 fall against Woodinville.
Despite the loss, Roosevelt had strong showings from Giselle Dollar, who scored 16 points, and Emma Curtis, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adia Tseng, who scored 11 points.
Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Woodinville, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Roosevelt will look to defend their home court on Friday against Garfield at 5:30 p.m. As for Woodinville, they will head out on the road to face off against Everett at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
