On Friday, the Thunder Basin Bolts faced the Campbell County Camels in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Thunder Basin managed a 82-77 win over Campbell County. The win was just what Thunder Basin needed coming off of a 55-33 defeat in their prior contest.
Campbell County's loss came despite strong showings from Lane Hladky and Mason Drube. Hladky scored 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds, while Drube scored 18 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hladky posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Robertson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Thunder Basin's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Campbell County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Thunder Basin will head out on the road to square off against Laramie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Laramie has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 931 points over their last 13 contests. As for Campbell County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pine Ridge at 5:30 p.m. Pine Ridge will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
