Basketball Recap: Madison Has No Trouble Against LEE

Madison won the last time they faced LEE and things went their way on Saturday too. The Madison Mavericks took down the LEE Volunteers 46-29. That looming 46-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mavericks yet this season.

Kassidy Flowers was the offensive standout of the game as he went 6 for 14 to rack up 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Pryor, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Madison is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season. As for LEE, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 20 of their last 21 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-24 record this season.

Coming up, Madison will square off against SA Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison is facing SA Roosevelt at the right time seeing as SA Roosevelt is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for LEE, they will head out to square off against Churchill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Churchill has four straight victories, LEE has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
