West Stanly have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. The Eastside and Westside will square off on Friday when they and East Montgomery meet at 7:30 PM. West Stanly will be strutting in after a victory while East Montgomery will be stumbling in from a loss.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise West Stanly and Forest Hills were playing football. West Stanly were able to grind out a solid win over Forest Hills two weeks ago, winning 55-48. West Stanly found West Stanly's leader in underclassman sophomore Jordan Poole, who rushed for 245 yards and 1 touchdown. That makes it three straight good games in a row from Poole.
Meanwhile, East Montgomery took a serious blow against Forest Hills last Friday, falling 7-55. The state rankings had actually given East Montgomery a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
