Springfield lost to Beech at home by a decisive 24-10 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springfield in their matchups with Beech: they've now lost seven in a row.
Beech found their leader in underclassman Chelton Swafford, who rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns.
Springfield has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Beech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Springfield will head out on the road to face off against Southwind at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Southwind will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive. Beech will take on Overton at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
