Jonesboro lost against May back in January of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Jonesboro Eagles were beaten by the May Tigers 84-35. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for May, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Evant at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for May, they will head out to face off against San Saba at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
