The Cartersville Hurricanes put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Dalton as Cartersville made off with a 42-21 win. The result was nothing new for Cartersville, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Khristian Lando, who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Lando is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Turner Abernathy made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Cartersville's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.6 points per game. As for Dalton, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Cartersville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Dalton will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th.
