The McCamey Badgers lost against the Wink Wildcats two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. McCamey fell just short of Wink by a score of 44-42. McCamey has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jacobi Pollard and Edgar Quinonez certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Pollard scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Quinonez scored nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Quinonez has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played.
McCamey has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Wink, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCamey will face off against Fort Hancock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McCamey is coming into the game with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Fort Hancock will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Wink, they will challenge Anthony at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anthony will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Wink surely won't give up without a fight.
