Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is King's Third in Last Four Outings

King's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Humble Wildcats a 15-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

King has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Humble, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-21.

Looking ahead, King will challenge Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.7, the Mustangs 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Humble, they will take on Summer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
