The Rouse Raiders will head out to face off against the Lockhart Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rouse will be strutting in after a victory while Lockhart will be coming in after a loss.
Rouse had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lehman on Friday. The Raiders' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lobos a 10-0 shutout.
Blakely Barber was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Madilynn George was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mariah Collins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Lockhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Leander.
Presli Moebes was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.
Rouse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lockhart, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
Lockhart's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rouse has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Lockhart, though, as they've only averaged .325. Will they be able to contain Rouse's hitters?
Everything went Rouse's way against Lockhart in their previous matchup back in March, as Rouse made off with a 13-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
